What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a face and body treatment that stimulates collagen and elastin to tighten and restore contours. The system uses radiofrequency energy to administer a gentle warmth to the skin, and your body responds by creating collagen and elastin. Collagen is a building block of skin that provides underlying support, and elastin gives your skin resilience. Your body naturally breaks down collagen and elastin. When we are younger, our bodies are able to produce new collagen and elastin at the same rate as what is lost. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and elastin, so it cannot replenish these substances, and there is a deficit of both substances. Morpheus8 helps your body produce more collagen to replace what is lost.
How is Morpheus8 Performed?
The treatment area is numbed with a topical or injectable anesthesia, and we may also give you a mild sedative. The Morpheus8 device is used to create micro-channels in the skin and administer the radiofrequency energy. There is no downtime. Your skin may feel sensitive and have a slight red or pink appearance. In most cases, a Morpheus8 treatment takes about 60 minutes. Some patients may need a series of treatments to achieve the desired results.
