Meet Dr. Banks, Plastic Surgeon in Washington DC
Dr. Nia Banks
Dr. Banks believes that every patient is different, and there is no one aesthetic standard that suits all people. Because of this, she treats every patient as an individual and truly listens to their needs. Dr. Banks not only focuses on the appearance of each patient, but she also strives to improve the patient’s life by changing the way they feel about themselves. Dr. Banks remains on the cutting edge of the field of reconstructive surgery; she recently contributed a chapter on breast and trunk reconstruction to a book and continues to contribute to important surgical publications.
As a craniofacial fellow at the Hospital Necker-Enfants Malades in Paris, France, Dr. Banks provided reconstructive surgery for children with congenital anomalies. Her dedication to her patients is paramount, and her experiences have prepared her to treat a vast range of patients. Although she specializes in the areas of the face and breast, Dr. Banks is qualified to complete practically any plastic or reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Banks is member of ISPA, the Vice Chair of Surgery at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. A patron of the arts and charter member of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Dr. Banks is also recognized by the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women honor that supports entrepreneurs around the world.
Currently, she is the owner of Beaux Arts Plastic Surgery and Med Spa in Glen Burnie, MD and co-owner of Art of Balance Wellness Spa in Baltimore, MD.
