What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® represents the latest in cosmetic injectables and is designed to offer a more youthful you. Sculptra® is comprised of poly-l lactic acid, which is the very same material that re-absorbable sutures are made from, which allows Sculptra® to naturally lift and naturally restore volume loss by stimulating your own collagen production. Sculptra® has been shown to last more than two years when used to reduce your facial wrinkles and folds. If you have hollowness in your temples, or if you are hollowed out under your cheekbones, then Sculptra® may be right for you. Even if your body looks amazing, sometimes your facial skin quality isn’t quite as good as you would like it to be, in which case you can use Sculptra® to restore your youth and the overall skin quality of your face.
What are the Benefits of Sculptra®?
Dr. Nia Banks can now offer you Sculptra® in conjunction with fractional CO2 laser treatments, such as laser skin resurfacing, to give your skin a major collagen boost while working to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds. Many patients are particularly fond of Sculptra® for its ability to help your skin regrow its own collagen, which can change everything when it comes to addressing anti-aging issues. You can use Sculptra® all over your face, chin, and neck. And when we say no downtime, we mean no downtime, because Sculptra® is literally a lunchtime procedure. You can go right back to work, which makes Sculptra® great for any age group.
Who is a Candidate for Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a new volumizer that fills in those areas where you have a volume deficiency in your face thanks to the aging process. Sculptra® is a lactic acid derivative that’s particularly effective for those patients experiencing a deep loss of volume, such as if your cheeks are hollowed out or sunken in. It is also an excellent treatment for people who are developing jowls. Very safe and with no side effects, Sculptra® adds volume and stimulates new collagen production wherever patients have facial hollowness issues.
What is the Procedure for Sculptra®?
During your consultation, Dr. Banks will answer any and all questions that you may have about the procedure for Sculptra®. First, the area is numbed with topical numbing cream, and then Sculptra® is injected into those areas of the treatment zone that show volume loss, to naturally fill in, lift, and sculpt your skin. This treatment requires a series of three treatments over a four-month period, and you can return to your regular activities right away following your procedure.
